MARRAKECH

TripAdvisor recently released a list of the most popular travel destinations in the world, based on millions of user reviews, and Marrakesh, Morocco, took the No. 1 spot on the list.

Marrakesh  “Jewel of the South” Located in the northwest of Morocco, Marrakesh is world-famous for DJEMÂA EL FNA  is a square and market place in Marrakesh’s medina quarter (old city). It remains the main square of Marrakesh, used by locals and tourists.

The city is divided into two distinct parts: the Medina, the historical city, and the new European modern district called Gueliz or Ville Nouvelle. The Medina is full of intertwining narrow passageways and local shops full of character riad. In contrast, Gueliz plays host to modern restaurants, fast food chains and big brand stores.
