The igloo hotel have 30 room and it is located at sorrisniva, 20 kilometres from Alta in idyllic surroundings on the banks of the Alta River.
the hotel is truly one of kind it was created for the first in 1999 ,and every year the theme and construction is changed and everything is made of snow and ice the interior and the exterior the rooms beds,the hotel is decorated with sculptors-beautiful artwork created by talented sculptors.Along with the pure white snow it creates a fairytale atmosphere inside .
this year the hotel will be open in 15 December until 1 April and it's a great Christmas holiday you will be able to see the northern lights have drinks at the ice bars which is made of solid ice blocks usually designed to reflect the theme and drinks are served in ice glasses.
you can even get married in the hotel chapel it is consecrated each year by the bishop and is decorated with ice crucifixes and ice angels. around 20 couples are married each year by local ministers from Alta
